State sets aside 250m/- for water supply in Ruangwa

THE government has set aside 250m/- for water distribution in Chimbila ‘B’ Village in Mnacho Ward, Ruangwa District.

Addressing villagers on his second day of his tour of the district yesterday, Prime Minister (PM) Kassim Majaliwa said the government was committed to ending water shortages and ensuring the villagers had access to water supply within 400 metres.

He said apart from that, water would also be supplied to all public institutions, including primary and secondary schools and health centres. Earlier, the PM visited Mnacho Secondary School and talked to students after which he said the government would construct two dormitories at the school to improve students’ study environment.

This was after the students appealed to the government to construct dormitories for them. Meanwhile, Mr Majaliwa urged the youth in the country to work hard and think of better ways of improving their lives instead of complaining and staying idle.

He said the youth should use good ways of dealing with the challenges facing them. In particular, he said the youth should consult with their leaders in their areas.

Addressing Nandagala residents in Ruangwa District on Wednesday afternoon, the PM, who was accompanied by his wife Mary, insisted that the youth should support the government by working hard.
