Multinationals on course for CEO Golf tour in Isles
OVER 50 multinational golfers have been registered for the annual CEO’s (Chief Executives Officers) Luxury Retreat Golf tournament, which now gathers a storm in Zanzibar.
The tournament to tee off on September 9th this year is being organised by Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Golf Club of Zanzibar, the World’s Best 9-hole golf course situated in Mangapwani area in the Isles.
Speaking to the ‘Daily News’ from Zanzibar yesterday, the Club’s Manager Elias Soka confirmed they have already received 53 entries ahead of this year’s tournament.
Soka explained: “The registration for the 2023 event is already open. We are delighted to have received 53 golfers so far. Most of them are from African countries.”
“We have received entries from the Southern and Eastern parts of Africa and Dubai, as well as European countries, which is very encouraging,” added Soka.
However, Soka said that they have only 28 remaining slots and he urged those wishing to participate to start registering.
The prestigious 18-hole event brings together CEOs, diplomats, and other golfers in a battle for the top titles.
He said preparation for the event is going on smoothly as the event has already secured several sponsors as they gear up to make this year’s event better than ever.
Soka named this year’s sponsors as Kenyan Airway, EXIM Bank, Finaltus Investment Kenya, Nathan Digital Dubai, Rahisi Solution Ltd, Castle lite, Dodoma Wine, United Group, and Zanzi Resort.
He thanked those who supported the tournament by sponsoring it and said the door is still open for those wishing to join hands.
“We thank all sponsors for their tireless support, but we are still looking for more sponsors to make it superior, and the door is open,” he said.
The stable Ford tournament, among others, aims at boosting Zanzibar tourism and is open to individual men and ladies with eligible handicaps.
Soka emphasises that 80 US Dollars is an entry fee for those wishing to participate in the event.
The fee will include a golf cart, halfway lunch, gala dinner, practice access, soft drink, golf goodies bag, and raffle draw.
