Majaliwa to unveil TIC electronic investment window  in Dar today

PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa

TANZANIA: PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa is today expected to inaugurate Tanzania Investment Centre’s working tools as part of its unrelenting campaign to educate the public and especially stakeholders in the investment sector.

The TIC revealed this on Sunday in its statement, naming the tools as Tanzania Electronic Investment Window -TeIW), Guidelines to Investors’ Service Providers and Tanzania Investment Promotion Campaign.

“We are unveiling this special campaign to further keep members of the public informed of our activities and responsibilities, more so, local and foreign investors and stakeholders in the investment sector,” the statement quoted TIC Executive Director Gilead Teri as saying.

On the TeIW, the statement says the launch is important because the window has a lot to do with the current reforms in law, policy and the service delivery. These elements, it says, are important in attracting investments and winning investors’ confidence.

The statement says the guidelines will help investors in registering their projects with the TIC and make it easy for them to get documents because they will be available in its one-stop centre.

The Tanzania Investment Promotion Campaign has to be sustained, the statement says, because the national projection is to get roughly 10 billion US dollars annually.
