KMKM lead in scoring as Isles league fetches 178 goals

The Zanzibar Premier League has produce 178 goals at the end of its 12th round this weekend.

The number of the goals has been produced from 96 matches at the end of the 12nd round, according to the official record.

Until this stage KVZ command the Isles top flight’s pilot seat with 24 points from 12 matches.

KMKM, the league’s defending champions have scored 22 goals while conceding 8 goals to stamp a 14-goal difference.

KVZ are placed second in marksmanship race with 15 goals while Mafunzo are third with 14 goals while three teams; Zimamoto, JKU and Kipanga have tied at the fourth place each with 13 goals.

Black Sailor, on other side of race, lead the teams that have conceded the big number of goals. They have conceded 18 goals from 12 matches, thus making an average of 1.5 per game.

Other teams with high number of conceded goals are Taifa Jang’ombe and Dula Boys who have each conceded 17 goals while Kipanga saw the ball rolling behind their net 16 times.

Mafunzo and Kundemba have each conceded 14 goals according to the statics.

The poorest team in marksmanship is Taifa Jang’ombe who have netted five goals from the 12-game outings.

The chase for Isles Premier League is jointly commanded by Malindi and KVZ who have each stamped 24 points.
