Heifer pushes smart farming solutions
DODOMA: Heifer International Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to transforming the agricultural sector through innovation, inclusion, and youth empowerment.
Speaking at the ongoing 49th Nanenane Agricultural Exhibition currently taking place at Nzuguni Grounds in Dodoma, the Dairy Quality Advisor from Heifer International Tanzania, Ndisha Joseph said the organization has played a significant role in transforming farmers’ lives through inclusive and sustainable agriculture.
“Heifer believes that the best kind of farming is one that addresses climate change, empowers youth, and provides solutions to today’s farming challenges. The reason we are at the Nanenane exhibition is to showcase the technologies and best practices that can help communities thrive,” he said.
Additionally, he took the opportunity and invited the public to visit the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Pavilion at Nzuguni Grounds in Dodoma as well as the Dole Kizimbani in Zanzibar so as to explore Heifer’s innovations in livestock, agribusiness, and the use of technology to support farmers.
