Heifer responds to farmer’s priorities for climate resilience and post-harvest solutions

DODOMA: Heifer International Tanzania has responded to farmers’ calls by leveraging field-based lessons and farmer-driven recommendations to address pressing challenges in climate resilience and post-harvest losses.
Ndisha Joseph, Dairy Quality Advisor, highlighted Heifer’s ongoing efforts to strengthen farmers capacity especially in efficient milk collection, better milk storage facilities to curb post-harvest losses, improved fodder establishment and preservation and climate-smart agriculture interventions.

According to Mr Joseph, the efforts aim at enhancing climate-smart productivity and resilience of small holder farmers’ production systems.

The actions reflect Heifer’s commitment to co-developing solutions with farmers that build long-term sustainability in Tanzania’s agriculture sector.
