Exim rewards winners in campaign to promote cashless payment

Exim Bank Tanzania has offered prizes including cash and smartphones to weekly and monthly winners of campaign which aims to entice its MasterCard holders to use their card instead of cash for payment of goods and services at merchant’s Point of Sales (POS) or ecommerce sites.

The campaign, ‘Chanja Kijanja, Kimasta Zaidi’  that was launched early this month will see winners among the bank’s customers who increasingly use the bank’s Mastercards for transactions stand in a position to win various prizes including cash, smartphones and all expenses paid trips to Dubai, Turkey and South Africa with their beloved ones.

The bank’s Alternative Services and Customers Service officer Mr Gregory Malembeka said so far more than 100 winners have won cash prizes amounting to 100,000/- each through a number of weekly and monthly draws of the campaign.

“As it is known that we are approaching the end of the year, a season that involves a number of purchases due to Christmas and New Year celebrations. We call upon our customers to use their card instead of cash for payment of goods and services at merchant’s Point of Sales (POS) or ecommerce sites so that they can be in a position to win as there are still many prizes to be offered to the winners,” he said after handing over award to Mr Emanuel Lutambi from Iringa Region.
