Elon Musk claims companies are desperately trying to kill his X

US, California: Elon Musk, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SpaceX, has claimed that legacy media companies are attempting to undermine his X platform (formerly Twitter) by any means.

The tycoon made this assertion on his X account on Thursday in response to Farzard Mesbahi’s post, which criticized Musk’s platform, labeling it as a ‘merely’ existential threat to mainstream media.

“X is an existential threat to Mainstream Media. Mainstream Media being neutral towards X is extremely unlikely,” he claimed.

Hours passed before Musk took to X to respond:

“Legacy media companies are desperately trying to kill this platform [X] by any means possible.”

Elon Musk is the wealthiest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of $219 billion as of November 2023, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and $241 billion according to Forbes. This wealth is primarily derived from his ownership stakes in Tesla and SpaceX.
