Dar Business Expo to attract 2,000 traders

DAR ES SALAAM: SOME 2,000 participants are expected to attend the Dar Business Expo in May, where the focus will be on promoting small businesses and corporate enterprises.
The Expo will offer an opportunity for businesses to showcase their services and products to a wide audience, while providing a platform for emerging businesses to network, sell, promote their brands and create valuable leads for future growth.
Founder and Chairman of Dar Business Expo Mr Vitalis Mpendazoe said the 2025 Expo promises to be a milestone event, creating meaningful business connections, fostering growth and opening new doors for entrepreneurs across the country.
“The event will also feature educational business seminars through the Phoenix Business Programme, aimed at empowering and training entrepreneurs,” he said.
Managing Director of Soko Swahili Market, Kayton Tungu, expressed confidence that this year’s events will attract more participants and community members, with a total of six events planned for the year, including a festival at the end of 2025.
“The Soko Swahili Market, part of Dar Business Expo since 2021, remains dedicated to supporting small businesses by providing them with a platform to showcase and promote their works,” he said.
The organiser said for the first time, the Expo will extend its reach to Arusha under the banner of the Arusha Business Expo, offering business owners in both cities the chance to grow and connect on a larger scale.
A key organiser for the 2025 edition, Ms TaliaRose Vi-Mpe, said the upcoming Expo holds potential for business opportunities of all sizes, both local and international.
“With over 300 market members, sponsors and partners, we are working together to ensure that businesses in Dar es Salaam and Arusha can fully harness the opportunities these cities present,” she said.
