CAFCC: Singida FG 1, Future FC 0

DAR ES SALAAM, Chamazi Singida Fountain Gate have registered a slim 1-0 win against Future FC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) second preliminary round match.

Newly imported Kenyan striker Elvis Rupia made the difference of the tense game at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Sunday evening.

He just joined his brand new club two days ago and has already made a positive impact on his debut.

The convincing results gives the country’s envoys in the Confederation Cup an advantage to make it through in the group stage of the contest.

However, the battle is not yet won as they expect to travel to Cairo, Egypt for the reverse leg whose overall winner splint to the last 16.

Before traveling to Egypt, the Singida based club will play Azam in a Premier League match at the same venue on Thursday.
