CAF-CL: Dube’s late equaliser earns Yanga 1-1 draw at Mazembe

LUBUMBASHI, DRC: Prince Dube’s late equaliser earned Young Africans a 1-1 draw against TP Mazembe in a Group A of CAF Champions League encounter played in Lubumbashi, DR Congo, on Saturday evening.
With this result, the Dar es Salaam-based club earned their first point after losing their first two games to Al-Hilal Omdurman and MC Alger.
Malian striker Chiekh Fofana’s goal in the 41st minute put the hosts ahead in the first half, forcing Yanga to make multiple substitutions, including replacing their goalkeeper after Djigui Diarra sustained an injury in the first half.
The introduction of striker Clement Mzize, midfielder Clatous Chama, and Dube kept Young Africans’ hopes alive as the visitors continued to push until the Zimbabwean striker scored the equaliser.
