Businesses closed as protests rock Kenya’s capital

Business have closed in Nairobi city centre as Kenyan riot police fired tear gas to disperse opposition protesters on Monday morning.
There are running battles on the main Kenyatta Avenue between police and demonstrators, some of whom are throwing stones at the security officers.
Businesses have closed as uncertainty reigns in the city.
Kenya police have arrested opposition leaders for taking part in anti-government protests in the capital, Nairobi.
Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo together with MPs Amina Mnyazi and Ken Chonga are being held in custody, local media report.
