Bunge Bonanza 2026 ready for action

DODOMA: ALL is set for this year’s Bunge Bonanza that is set for action tomorrow at John Merllini Secondary School grounds in Dodoma.

The Bonaza will bring together members of Parliament, students, government officials and sports fans in a celebration of unity and recreation.

The one-day event will feature a variety of sports and recreational activities, including football, volleyball, netball, rope jumping and other teambuilding games.

Supporters of Tanzania’s two biggest football clubs, Simba SC and Young Africans SC, are expected to attend, adding a friendly rivalry to the occasion.

In addition to sporting competitions, participants will take part in a fitness walk aimed at promoting health, wellness and social interaction.

Speaking ahead of the event, the chairperson of the organising committee, Festo Sanga, said the main objective of the bonanza was to strengthen cooperation between Parliament and other institutions operating in and around Dodoma.

“This bonanza is not only about sports, but also about building strong relationships between members of Parliament, educational institutions and government ministries,” Sanga said.

He added that sports provide an important platform for unity, dialogue and teamwork beyond formal working environments.

“ Through sports and social activities, we hope to enhance cooperation, understanding and mutual respect among institutions that work closely with Parliament,” he said.

Sanga confirmed that participants will include MPs, students from higher learning institutions and officials from various government ministries.
