Bukoba Municipality gets 100m/- to boost health services

BUKOBA Municipal Director Mr Hamidy Njovu has commended the Central Government for allocating 100m/- to boost health services at Kibeta Ward.

He explained that the funds would be utilised during 2023/24 financial year for buying various medical equipment for a newly-constructed dispensary at Kibeta Ward.

“During 2022/23 financial year the government had allocated 100m/- for the construction of a dispensary at Kibeta Ward which was expected to start functioning soon. On behalf of Bukoba Municipal residents I thank the government for allocating the funds which have greatly improved health services,” he said.

Mr Njovu further revealed that the council had also completed the construction of a new primary school located at Kashenye area, in Kashai Ward.

“The process of getting   registration of the school was in final stages. The intention of constructing the   primary school at Kashenye was to minimise congestion of pupils at Tumaini and Mafumbo primary schools. My appeal to parents is to show cooperation when the school opens,” he said.
