Bashe tables 970bn/- budget

MINISTER for Agriculture Hussein Bashe tabled on Monday a 970bn/- budget estimate for the Fiscal Year 2023/24 targeting to increase production and productivity in the agriculture sector.

Bashe said the new budget will also increase jobs and enhance youth and women participation in the agriculture sector.

It also aims to improve resilience for food and nutrition security, Strengthen access to market, agriculture financing and crop exports and the Strengthening of Cooperative Development.

“We plan to increase agricultural exports as well as enabling government laboratories and the private sector to reach the quality standards required,” he stated.
