YOUNG Africans centre -back Ibrahim Bacca remains confident that they are better placed to storm in the finals of CAF Confederation Cup this season.

Yanga have already placed one foot in the finals of the competition after defeating Marumo Gallants 2-0 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.

The two teams meet in the reverse leg duel at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in South Africa where the overall winner will earn a place in the tournament’s final.

“Of course, we have a big chance to make it to the finals even though it is not yet over. Everything is in our hands to us as players because we are the ones to be on the pitch.

“The technical bench is also going to play its role to ensure that we make the most of the return leg match,” said Bacca.

He added that if they succeed to double their work-rate than that of the first leg, then without doubt, they will be heading to the finishing line.

Moreover, Bacca revealed that during their match against Marumo Gallants, he was able to identify two dangerous players who had to be put under magnifier as they could have caused damage any moment.

“I talked with my teammates to watch the two players, one of them was a striker who put on jersey number 8 who looked lethal hence we had to be careful with them,” he said.

Again, Bacca appreciated massive support he gets from his trainer Nasreddine Nabi saying he has been of great importance to his career due to his encouragements.

“He tells me a lot of positive things both on and off the pitch and he usually demands that I should focus on my responsibilities without concentrating on what fans are saying,” he said.

For Yanga, it has been a dream come true to play in the confederation cup semifinals a destiny they placed at the beginning of the competition.

With just one match to go before making a big record of reaching in the finals, all Tanzanians are wishing them best of luck so that they can amicably attain their targets.

However, it is believed that the return leg is going to be tough as predicted by Nabi who insisted that they have to be fully cautious in order to get something meaningful out of the encounter.

He also urged his charges to pause celebrations and concentrate on the upcoming fixture.
