ACOYA 2025 decorates Africa’s top-performing business, technology firms

DAR ES SALAAM: STAKEHOLDERS of business and technology sectors from across Africa received accolades during the African Company of the Year Awards (ACOYA 2025) ceremony held in Dar es Salaam.

The event serves as a platform to recognize and celebrate the achievements of outstanding companies in 2025.

THE Deputy Minister for Information, Communication, and Technology, Engineer Maryprisca Mahundi, who attended the awards ceremony called on African governments to continue strengthening enabling environments for business and investment in order to boost the continent’s economy and adapt to ongoing global economic transformations.

Speaking during the ACOYA 2025 ceremony, Engineer Mahundi acknowledged the economic progress made across the continent but emphasized that several pressing challenges still need to be addressed.

She highlighted some of these challenges, including limited access to financial services and trade barriers between African countries. In this regard, she stressed the importance of reforming laws and regulations that hinder economic integration and collaboration among African nations.

She also underscored the critical role of cooperation between governments and the private sector in driving business growth and economic development across Africa. She commended the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her efforts in strengthening the national economy and positioning Tanzania as an attractive investment destination for both local and foreign investors.

The award ceremony brought together various stakeholders from the business and technology sectors across Africa, serving as a platform to recognize and celebrate the achievements of outstanding companies in 2025.
