Absa reaffirms support for social, economic growth

DAR ES SALAAM: ABSA Bank Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting customers in achieving social and economic progress by expanding access to a broad range of banking services.

Absa Tanzania Managing Director, Mr Obedi Laiser, said the bank remains dedicated to delivering innovative financial products designed to meet customers’ evolving needs.

“We are committed to providing banking services that will help our customers drive both social and economic development,” said Mr Laiser during the closing ceremony of the Customer Service Week (CSW).

He added that this commitment aligns with the bank’s mission to strengthen support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), a sector that continues to play a vital role in Tanzania’s economy.

As part of that strategy, Absa Tanzania has recently launched a nationwide campaign to promote the adoption of digital banking channels in line with national efforts to build a cashless economy.

The initiative underscores Absa’s dedication to innovation, financial inclusion and the provision of secure, convenient and accessible banking solutions that serve the needs of customers across the country.

Absa Tanzania’s Director of Retail Banking, Ms Ndabu Swere, reaffirmed the bank’s focus on delivering customercentric solutions.

“We will continue introducing innovative services that make financial participation more inclusive across Tanzania,” she said.

This year’s Customer Service Week, themed “Mission Possible,” reflects Absa’s broader commitment to empowering Africa’s future through sustainable and inclusive financial growth.
