A call for Tanzanians to uphold ‘Pray for Peace’ practice  

ZANZIBAR: THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has urged citizens to continue the practice of praying for peace in the country to ensure the successful implementation of development plans.

Speaking to Muslim worshippers during the Friday prayers at Malindi Mosque in the Urban West Region today, November 7, 2025, President Mwinyi emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and unity.

Dr. Mwinyi stated that following the peaceful conclusion of the General Election, it is vital to thank Almighty God and continue praying for the continued stability of the nation.

He further noted that the efforts made to pray for peace during the election period should be sustained and strengthened even more.

President Mwinyi stressed that it is a great blessing for Zanzibar to remain united, peaceful, stable, and harmonious after the elections. He called on religious leaders and worshippers to continue praying for the country so that it remains safe and prosperous.
