2nd Vice President visits the GGML pavilion at the Geita mineral exhibition

GEITA : The Second Vice President of Zanzibar, Hemed Suleiman today Saturday visited the Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) booth at the sixth Geita mining technology exhibition and got information about the various activities carried out by the mine.

He has also received information about the screening and education services for cervical, breast and prostate cancer provided by the Referral Hospital of Geita region in collaboration with GGML where until on Friday more than 900 people have been tested.

Giving an explanation to the Vice President of Zanzibar who is the official guest closing the exhibition held for 10 days, the Senior Manager of GGML who deals with community relations, Gilbert Mworia said that the company is the leading as the in best employer in the country.

It also leads to complying with the local content law along with safety issues at work.

Among other things, he said that GGML, which is the main sponsor of the exhibition, has spent more than Shs 200 million in the exhibition which started on September 20 this year.

And the Executive Director of GGML, Terry Strong thanked the Vice President for visiting the pavilion and promised to continue cooperating with the government in implementing various projects.
